My classes are inspired by the world around me and the world within me which makes them creative, alignment-based, and themed practices that can revolve around a myriad of topics from a painting at The Met to an ancient yoga text. They are filled with love, levity, play, spirituality, and Philly sass. My classes are a combination of all of my training- dance, vinyasa yoga, hatha, restorative, Katonah yoga, meditation, breath-work, prenatal/postnatal, applied positive psychology, and art. I have 10,000+ hours of teaching under my belt, 1000+ hours of training from Yoga to Positive psychology to anatomy, I have led 30+ Yoga teacher trainings, and I have 15 years of teaching experience within New York City, Seattle, California, and Philadelphia. I have taught on the Steps of the Brooklyn Museum and Yoga at Bryant Park, as well as, for numerous studios- Yoga to the People, Vera Yoga, Tangerine, Heatwise, Jewel City Yoga, YogaSpark, The Yoga Room, NP Rock, and currently teaches in and around New York City and Philadelphia. Dance brought me into the world of yoga, where I searched for a movement practice that uplifted vs critiqued and used the body to transform the mind. Modern dance led me to NYC where I danced for local companies and apprenticed with The Martha Graham Dance Company. Those skates became a BFA in Modern dance from University of The Arts in Philadelphia. I have had a love affair with movement my entire life and it all began in a roller dance class in Mt.Airy. Hi! I am Holly (she/her/hers) , but you can call me Bird. So I have returned home to Philly, to move with love in the place that raised me with so much love. The community I cultivated through movement practices was equally, if not more, healing than the movement itself. I realized, through yoga, that what inspired me most about the practice of movement wasn’t pushing my body to see what it could do but, instead, creating community and seeing what we could do. I was living my childhood dream in New York City, forcing my body to be the strongest and the “best,” and I had never felt more isolated and insecure in my life. From there it developed into a BFA in Dance from the University of the Arts and an apprenticeship with the Martha Graham Dance Company. My personal romance with movement began on the streets of Philly, with a pair of hot pink roller skates my mother gave me for a roller dance class. Airy and, after over a decade of dancing and teaching yoga across New York City, have found myself calling this neighborhood home again. Move with Love began as a personal mantra and has since grown into a movement philosophy grounded in the love of self and of community. The interface of this utility is divided into several parts (e.g., Media List, Effects, Transitions, Files, Clips, Video Track, Audio Track, Overlay Track), which may make everything seem a little hard to operate. Among software applications of this kind, you can find VideoPad Video Editor. Working with video files, especially editing them, is a task that requires a specialized application that can provide all the tools one needs. But, VideoPad is still very functional, and if you like how the free version works, its price tag is quite reasonable to make sure you have access to all the features all the time.Free Download NCH VideoPad Video Editor Professional for Windows PC Designed to be intuitive, VideoPad is a fully featured video editor for creating professional quality videos in minutes. Equally, if you spend some money on the likes of CyberLink PowerDirector 18 or PowerDirector 365, you'll get more functionality. However, while VideoPad is available for Macs and Windows users, there are far more features available for the latter platform.Īmong the best free video editing software, Hitfilm Express offers more features and is more scalable - you can purchase additional features as needed - and Mac users who are new to video editing should check out iMovie first. Its many video tutorials will help novices get up to speed quickly. VideoPad is an easy-to-use video editor that’s great for beginners and those who do not need an elaborate professional app to produce home movies or tutorial presentations for social media. We really liked the non-threatening off white-lavender interface, and it’s still available as an alternate theme, which we appreciate. The biggest interface change since last we reviewed the app was noticeable right away: VideoPad has gone over to the dark side with a pleasing charcoal gray theme. While there’s general parity between the Mac and PC versions of the software, the PC version has a few features that the Mac version doesn’t. NCH Software is almost constantly updating VideoPad, so there are many maintenance releases listed for both for the Mac and Windows versions. Or, even better, just save a video to your desktop and upload it yourself to avoid unnecessary data sharing with the app. Click the Load File (s) button and browse to your saved VirtualDub effects. (Image credit: Jackie Dove/Tom's Guide) VideoPad review: Sharing featuresīecause of its social sharing and publishing features, the software is ideal for video creators who are publishing to YouTube or other social media - the app lets you share videos directly to platforms like Dropbox, Flickr, Google Drive, and Vimeo. Click the Effects button on the Home tab, and from the effects drop-menu at the top, select Load/Unload VirtualDub Plugins. You can record narration directly within the program. You can preview the various filters with a click before applying them, combine several to create a custom effect or template for reuse, and adjust their length via easy to use menus. Other helpful features include the ability to edit 360 video, as well as video stabilization. It does not provide an overabundance of choices, but offers a respectable selection of transitional effects for moving between clips and images and a collection of filters to give them a unique look. It would be nice if you could actually re-arrange the workspace permanently. You can operate all functions from within the application frame or you can break out VideoPad’s dockable panels to get a closer look at the task at hand. The app is menu driven, and also works via drag and drop, so there are various ways to accomplish a single goal. The method by which the app sorts video footage and still images into bins - making sure you don’t confuse their placement on the timeline - helps to speed up the workflow, especially for newcomers. VideoPad sports a clean, uncluttered interface that’s organized by tabs and menu driven. Upload your icon, adjust the color and size, then export the image. How do I adopt maskable icons? #Open an icon, then Maskable.app will let you try out various shapes and sizes, and you can share the preview with others on your team. If you want to preview your maskable icon in other shapes it may appear in on Android, I 've created a tool called Maskable.app . If your logo is visible within this safe area, you 're good to go. Your icons will be trimmed so that only the safe area is visible. In the Icons section, you can choose to Show only the minimum safe area for maskable icons . With your Progressive Web App open, launch DevTools and navigate to the Application panel. You can check which parts of your icons land within the safe zone with Chrome DevTools. The important parts of your icon, such as your logo, should be within a circular area in the center of the icon with a radius equal to 40% of the icon width. Luckily, there 's a well-defined and standardized " minimum safe zone " that all platforms respect. Happy Feet is probably the first international blockbuster digital animation made largely outside the United States, but most of the reported US$100 million budget still came from a major studio (Warner Bros). Both films are about the need to pursue one’s talents, to develop one’s creativity – an important theme in Miller’s work, but also the kind of message that Hollywood studios can readily understand. The imperative in Happy Feet is still on food production (the shortage of fish for the penguins), but the emotional core of the film is about fitting in, more than feeding. The fear of being eaten drives the drama in Babe and dictates the style. There is a big difference, of course, in that humans don’t have to eat pigs, while penguins do have to eat fish. Penguins eat fish, just as humans eat pigs, but the fate of a fish never becomes an ethical concern, except in the overexploitation by humans. Thematically, the film has a strong environmental message, although it’s never as dark as Babe. One scene of the Emperor colony, according to Miller, shows half a million penguins, all independently animated. Mumble has six million individual feathers, for instance. The film uses a lot of flying camera techniques to accentuate the grandeur, but the power of the technology also made it possible to animate the penguins at a micro level, to an extraordinary degree. This made Happy Feet more visually flexible than previous computer animations and more spectacular. The level of detail allowed Miller to simulate camera movement from any angle and with any lighting condition. These images were fed into computers at the digital effects house, Animal Logic in Sydney. An expedition led by Antarctic tour guide Howard Whelan spent two months in Antarctica photographing landscapes and icebergs and fauna from every conceivable angle. At the same time, Miller wanted the film to be ‘photorealistic’, reasoning that the beauty of the Antarctic landscapes did not need augmentation so much as accurate rendition. These techniques made it possible to conceive of Happy Feet as a musical, where the moves of some of the greatest dancers in the world – notably tapper Savion Glover – could be digitally captured and rendered onto the penguins. He was also impressed by the advances in digital motion capture technology developed by Peter Jackson’s company Weta Digital, for the Lord of the Rings films. Miller was amazed and moved by the story of how the Emperor penguins breed, which he saw in David Attenborough’s BBC series Life in the Freezer, made in 1993. There were a number of direct inspirations for the film. Miller sees the growth in digital effects as the greatest change in film technology since the coming of sound and Happy Feet set out to take that technology further than any film had done before. All of the film, except for a few shots of humans, was generated in computers. There are obvious similarities in the overall shape of the story – a pig that wants to herd sheep, a penguin that wants to dance – but Happy Feet leaps much more wholeheartedly into the digital possibilities of computer animation. Happy Feet is much more than an extension of the winning formula that George Miller discovered with Babe. Mumble will see many amazing things before he returns to his home. A fat Rockhopper penguin called Lovelace (also voiced by Robin Williams), who’s slowly being strangled by a plastic tie around his neck, joins their quest. He is adopted by five fun-loving Argentinian Adelie penguins, led by the pint-sized Ramon (voiced by Robin Williams), who teach him how to party. He has heard a rumour from the large and frightening Boss Skua (voiced by Anthony LaPaglia) that aliens inhabit the earth. His mother Norma Jean (voiced by Nicole Kidman) is heartbroken.Ī dejected Mumble leaves the colony, determined to find out why the fish are disappearing. Worse, Mumble (voiced by Elijah Wood) is banished by the elders, who think his dancing is responsible for their shortage of fish. He knows he can dance better than any penguin alive, but as his father Memphis (voiced by Hugh Jackman) tells him, dancing ‘just ain’t penguin’. His friend Gloria (voiced by Brittany Murphy) has a glorious voice, but Mumble can never hope to attract a mate without a ‘heart song’, the personal tune that all Emperor penguins must have. Mumble is the only Emperor penguin chick in Antarctica who can’t sing. Free for commercial use High Quality Images. 97000+ Vectors, Stock Photos & PSD files. His key abilities, Bull Rush and Doom Spin, let him do solid damage to multiple foes while Roar of Fury boosts the power of nearby towers. He's one of the highest damaging heroes on the roster and has a pretty decent recovery rate. A true warrior, his good chunk of health allows him to tank a lot of hits while also drawing from his armor. Now that we are done with the best heroes for Kingdom Rush, let's check the Frontiers!īulls can charge into battle when provoked and Kahz knows how to use this to deadly effect. Both of his abilities, Sword Torment and Death Strike, hit hard and ignore all resistances and armor when landing. He has a high enough speed for crossing the battlefield swiftly and can take a lot of punishment with all of his health and decent armor. Another melee attacker, Oni uses his dual blades to tear through enemy units rapidly. With Permafrost and Ice Storm, surrounding enemies will be ripe for the picking from her and your forces.įrom Japanese mythology comes the vicious demon spirit known as Oni. Though she doesn’t have the most health, she can evade damage easily. She can also get around the field in no time with her very high speed. Being a magic user, she focuses on dishing out lots of damage from a distance. Of all the seasons to control, Elora Wintersong proves that winter is the most devastating. Though he has no ranged attacks, he can summon reinforcements with Ancestor Call and turn into a stat-empowered bear after his health drops below 60 percent. His high attack power and health allow you to plop him down into the middle of any battle to deal some serious damage. That's why Ingvar Bearclaw stands above the other heroes with such bulk and strength. When you've got the option of literal bear strength to deploy, it only makes sense to do so. The following list shows all of the Kingdom Rush heroes ranked by Damage and names the top three heroes for each game. When a hero falls, they have a respawn timer.Įach game offers between 13 to 14 unique heroes. While in the field, your heroes will take damage but will recover over time. You can also buy upgrades between missions that apply to all of your heroes. Like towers, heroes have a mix of passive and active abilities, the latter of which has a cooldown after use. You'll typically be limited to one hero per battle and based on your choice, you can change tower arrangements to complement them. While you'll have access to plenty of heroes as you progress through the different missions, you won't be able to utilize all of them.
The rate of Colonial Growth is determined by your incorporated population, and modified by your Colony Growth Generation Speed (primarily affected by your investment in Colonial Affairs) as well as by local conditions in the State Region. The more colonies you have growing at once, the less quickly each colony will develop, though you can selectively pause and resume Colonial Growth in a state. And of course, any territory you don’t colonize yourself may fall into the hands of your rivals! Many European powers have little opportunity for aggressive expansion in their homelands, as wars there could become very unpredictable and destructive. Once your colony expands enough that it’s the largest State in its State Region, it will become part of your National Market, giving you direct access to the goods it produces assuming that you ensure market access. Now, why would you want a colony? Primarily, you’d want colonies to gain access to more natural resources that you may be lacking at home, especially goods required for more advanced manufacturing Production Methods like rubber and dye. Since Colonial States cannot be incorporated, your institutions do not apply there, and pops living in these states cannot be taxed and will have very little political power to contribute to Interest Groups. Colonial States have a bonus to migration attraction and are affected by certain modifiers from colonial laws and the Colonial Affairs institution. A Colonial State that borders a non-colonial state belonging to the same country will lose its colonial status and become a regular unincorporated state. Having a colony in a state region does not give you a monopoly on it other colonial powers can create competing colonies, resulting in split states and messy borders that are sure to generate diplomatic tensions in the future.Ĭolonial States are a special kind of state that is created by establishing a colony in a Decentralized nation or conquering territory from an Unrecognized power. Once you’ve selected a location, one of the provinces in that state region will be the starting point for your colony. You can establish colonies in strategic regions where you have declared an Interest, and within those strategic regions you can colonize a state region in which at least one state is controlled by a Decentralized nation. |
